OBSERVATORY TYPE RAIN FAKER (OMBROMETER) or RAIN GAUGE or serimh called RAIN GAUGE is a tool used to measure rainfall if within 24 hours the rainfall collected in the collector tube> 0.5 mm. Observations are made every day at 07.00 local time. The water collected in the collector tube is then measured with a measuring cup. The rainfall collected on that day is the value of the previous day's rainfall. The value of rainfall is recorded every day, then added up every month to become monthly rainfall and added annually to become annual rainfall. Data is recorded in mm. If not, write (-). If there is no rain, write (0). If there is low rainfall (0 - 0.5 mm) it is written (+).
The value of rainfall is the amount of water measured in a measuring cup (in mm). If using a volume measuring cup (mL), the conversion method is as follows: Rainfall = collected water (mL) / 100 cm Example of calculation: Suppose the water collected in the collector tube is 250 mL. Then the rainfall is = 250 mL / 100 cm² = 2.5 cm = 25 mm.
